When the body gets working appropriately,
the force of gravity can flow through,
then spontaneously the body heals itself.

your first session FAQs
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 75 to 90 minutes long, though sessions can be shorter or longer depending on whether or not we’ve accomplished the session’s goals.
What do I wear?
Please wear underwear or athletic shorts and a bra top or loose tank top for women. The ideal clothing is non-restricting. Thin cotton is best. Sometimes I will have you get up mid session to walk around and feel out the changes happening.
What does a typical session include?
Your first session will include a brief checkin about your body history, including medical history, past injuries, and a discussion of your normal life activities. We’ll also discuss your goals for the session or series of sessions we are beginning. After that we will explore some simple movements, which are a chance for you to sense your body pre-session and for me to get some information about your structure. Then you will have about one hour receiving hands on work on the table or Rolfing bench, or, in a movement session, working with a simple movement on the table or on the Rolfing bench. Once you’re standing again you will have a chance to check in with your body and get acquainted with the changes that have occurred during our session.
What should I do after my session?
It’s important to listen to your body after a Rolfing session and do whatever feels appropriate for you. Often people enjoy walking to feel out the changes in their structure. Some feel that a hot epsom salt bath is helpful to integrate changes. I do not recommend a hard workout right after your session.
What is your general availability?
Right now I see clients in the afternoon and evenings, and occasionally do weekend sessions. In the summer I work for the Forest Service and do not have access to phone or email. I usually leave late June and am gone through late September at my summer job. If you’re interested in seeing me in the fall or winter send me an email during the summer months and I will get back to you come October.
